10 epic album covers that became part of popular culture
These are iconic images. They go hand in hand with the album but I am thinking of examples that became popular culture touchstones and were copied and parodied.
Many bands have consistently great album covers: Iron Maiden, AC/DC. I tried (and basically failed) to step out of my Generation X perspective. Now that album art has evolved to tiny animated GIFs the 12x12 canvas (24x12 for double albums)
1. Dark Side of the Moon Pink Floyd
2. Sgt. Pepper’s - The Beatles
3. When We All Fall Asleep Bille Elish
4. "She's So Unusual" Cindi Lauper
5. Bob Marley Legend
6. Born in the USA - Bruce Springsteen
7. Beatles White Album
Spawned the Spinal Tap Black Album: none more black!

8. Fleetwood Mac Rumors
9. Joy Division Unknown Pleasures
A character in "Ready Player One" was wearing a Joy Division T-shirt with this image. Why fairly obscure 1980s pop culture would be relevant in 2045 I have no idea....
The art is "based on an image of radio waves from pulsar CP 1919,"
