Ok, I will enter this challenge. Thanks for posting this.

    1. Magnus Carlsen

Always great when i can have the best in the world for something I am passionate about. Magnus is the world chess champion.

I've had on Garry Kasparov (former world chess chamption), Judit Polgar (best woman in history), and Henrik Carlsen (Magnus's dad) but not Magnus.

Jay, I will make you a collaborator so you can post the links to those.

Here's commentary on a speed chess match Magnus had two days ago:

    2. Louis CK

Same reasoning as above. Best comedian in history.

A clip from his recent special:

    3. Kanye West

Flaws and all, he is the best music producer ever. I highly recommend the Netflix documentary about him and, of course, i will ask about his "deathcon 3" stuff.

    One of Kanye's greatest videos:

    4. Elon Musk

I've had on about 30 or 40 billionaires but the only one comparable to Musk has been Richard Branson, due to the sheer number of companies he's running at the same time. Musk (and throw in Jeff Bezos) not only has a particular vision for the future but has the means to create that future.

By the way, I've had on Ashleigh Vance who wrote the book on Elon Musk. (jay)

    5. My daughters

I'd like to interview them about what I was like as a father. I'm sure they would be pretty honest with me actually.

    6. Eckhart Tolle

Out of all the self-help out there, he's pretty much the only one I consider 100% legit, i.e. someone who has helped himself and his advice can help others.

That doesn't mean everyone in that industry is a fraud. Far from it. They are all 99% legit. But Eckhart seems to be a special person.

I should add, so does Michael Singer, who I've also had on the podcast (Jay).

Note: the one time I saw Tolle live (at the Beacon Theater in NYC) I had the biggest argument ever with my then-girlfriend right after. I wonder if the events were connected and, if so, why?

    7. Steven King

Not only a prolific "horror writer" but perhaps the most successful great writer around.

I've had on a ton of great writers: Tim O'Brien, Chuck Pahlianuk, Brad Meltzer, Ken Follett, etc but Steven King is the king.

    8. Dave Chappelle

    The obvious king of comedy.

I learned a lot about Dave when touring around with Tony Woods, who was Dave (and then later, mine) mentor in comedy.

    9. My mother

She won't come on but she is a hero to me. Had polio at the age of two and her entire life has been sculpted by that misfortune. Was one of the first female programmers (one of the first programmers.period) in 1962. Had to deal with raising me, which honestly wasn't easy. Etc.

    10. Ellen Degeneres

She has defined so many moments in television and comedy and now there is some controversy around her. I'd love to interview her.
