    1. Technology is The Higher Power

An entity greater than ourselves who is omnipotent and to whom you have faith in and pray for intercession.

    2. Faith in Technology

Faith is the recognition that as fallible humans we cannot see or understand the great plan but our faith fills us with confidence that Technology is the one true path to all that is Good.

    3. Programming Languages and Latin.

For centuries, Christian liturgical services were held in Latin. This added to the incomprehensibility of the system to the laity, which in turn increased the need for faith.

    4. Technopriests as Gatekeepers

How many of us can understand the "Great Books" of Code that is the blueprint of our modern tech lives? We all depend on our programming clergy to grant us access to the secrets of the Net.

    5. Praying for Acceptance

Who among us hasn't said a little payer before hitting the "Submit" button? Who were you praying to?

    6. Submit or Enter?

In both cases, we are asking for permission and acceptance that our offerings may be acceptable to Techno-God.

    7. Luddites are the new Heretics.

    8. We may be entering a Blue Collar Dark Age.

Society as a whole is losing it's ability to survive and maintain a civilization without the insidious control and oversight of our techno overlords.

    9. But monasteries still exist.

But all over the planet, in basement workshops and backyard garages, the monastic Makers still gather to practice and preserve the ancient rituals of Creation, Invention, and Production.

    10. History tells us another Enlightenment is coming.

And like all times prior, the Enlightened path will not be a rejection of technology. It will be the more ecumenical integration of tech into a new human-centric society.

    11. The Religion of Technology leads us to a new Era of Faith.

Even if that faith is ultimately not in Tech itself, but the Higher Power of Human Innovation.
