8. Cobalt Red: How the Blood of the Congo Powers Our Lives
This book covers the horrible conditions and slavery at gunpoint that many people still live under in the cobalt mines of Africa. Cobalt makes electronics and batteries possible.
9. The Fourth Turning Is Here: What the Seasons of History Tell Us About How and When This Crisis Will End by Neil Howe
10. The Lion’s Gate by Steven Pressfield
"The Six Day War of 1967 was one of the greatest underdog victories in the history of warfare, and it was won by a people who had, less than thirty years earlier, almost been wiped off the earth in the death camps of the Third Reich."
This book gave me a greater understanding of what's happening today in Israel and the world. It also does a really good job explaining the mindset of the people in the area that allows injustices to fester for hundreds or thousands of years because nobody forgives anybody else. One side will commit atrocities against the other side and murder many people. As those children grow up 15 years later, they take revenge in the cycle that continues for hundreds of years.
