1. Creativity is a muscle.
2. The more you give yourself permission to come up with bad ideas, the more comfortable you get with doing so.
3. Pursuant to #2, you will never come up with really good ideas if you're afraid to propose some bad ones.
4. With daily practice, ideas begin to flow naturally throughout the day in real-life situations.
5. When you really need to come up with an idea or ideas, you'll be ready & able to do so.
6. Sometimes it's difficult or uncomfortable; when you can push through that daily, you also get better at pushing through other difficult or uncomfortable things.
7. It's fun and you can make some or all of your idea lists funny.
8. You can make lists that actually help other people.
9. Pursuant to #8, if your idea lists actually help other people, you're likely to benefit from that, possibly in ways you did not expect.
10. It gives you a feeling of pride.
