10 Reasons Why Die Hard Should Absolutely Be Considered a Christmas Movie
If you are a human being, then you fall into one of two camps: You are either in the camp that believes "Die Hard" is a Christmas movie or you are in the camp that believes it is not a Christmas movie.
To my non-believer friends: YOU ARE DEAD WRONG!
Die Hard is the ultimate Christmas movie!
1. John McClane puts a Santa hat on the first terrorist he kills and writes "Ho-Ho-Ho" on his shirt.
2. The story takes place on Christmas Eve.
3. Sgt. Al Powell sings "Let it Snow" as John McClane throws the terrorist's body out the window onto the police car.
4. The story revolves around a Christmas party.
5. In the final scene with Hans Gruber, McClane tapes a gun to his back with Christmas-themed tape.
6. Like many good Christmas movies, this one features a father coming home to his family for Christmas.
With a few explosions thrown in for fun.
7. McClane asks his limo driver for Christmas music...and he gets Run D.M.C.
8. Gruber says, "It's the time of miracles, so be of good cheer."
Such a kind Christmas gesture!
