10 things I do to get into flow
1. Brain.fm music
Find the channel on Youtube - nice for pomodoro sprints
2. Coffee / tea
3. Clear my bowels
James does this before he writes - I like to do it because I dont like anything interrupting my flow session
4. Close all other windows
Anything not related to your task
5. Turn off notifications
On your phone, emails, etc.
6. Meditate
A good way to reset in between work sessions
7. Have a plan for what to do
Don't make yourself think about what you have to do. Plan it ahead and tackle it like a to do list.
8. Leave some work unfinished
If i'm writing a book for example, I might leave a sentence unfinished so I can easily pick it up the next time I write
9. If I'm tired, I don't push through
10. If I'm hungry, drink water (instead of getting a snack)
You're likely dehydrated more than you are hungry. Plus you don't take in any extra calories.
