1. The challenge and competition, always friendly, makes us better
2. When in person, we get to share space and time with each other
3. When remote, I can speak with and laugh with people miles away who I only see once or twice a year (if that)
4. We get to explore new worlds and experiences together
5. We have things to chat about during the off time or in between sessions
6. There is a strong bond between people who play games together, they share a "language" so to speak
7. They have the best criticisms and takes on the games industry and productions
8. They also have great knowledge of classic gaming (according to our own calendars) and the references are always fresh
9. The memes are hilarious
10. They are world class world builders
