10 things you need to control for a great day
1. Your time
Or at least what you do with the time that you have
2. What you eat
While eating fried foods tastes amazing, it doesn't give you the energy you need for the day. (or at least it doesn't make me feel good)
3. Your emotions
Remember, anger reflects badly on you and not on others.
4. Your calendar
How else will you control your time?
5. Your focus
Your focus is how you give importance to things. If you don't focus on it, it's likely not important.
6. Your breathing
For a good meditation session, it's a great idea to control your breathing.
7. Your caffeine intake
I make it a rule of thumb to cut off caffeine intake by lunch.
8. Checking your smartphone / email
Again, it's about controlling your focus and any distractions that take your focus away from whatever you're working on needs to be eliminated completely.
9. What you take in
Don't read the news. Don't doom scroll on social media. Be conscientious of what you take into your brain.
10. How you feel
My friend and mentor always told me at the end of our sessions "make it a great day", not "have a great day" because you can control how you feel.
