I am starting to build an app based on some things I have done in the past: it is a general-purpose project tracker. What do you need to keep track of? What features would an app need to have?
1. Projects
Ie, you are writing a book. Or making an album. Or designing a website for someone. Or building an app. Whatever it is, you should be able to list all the tasks that go into it and then assign them to people or put them in order of when they have to be done by.2. To Do Lists
Ie, I have to make dinner reservations for next Saturday night for four people. I can make a "to do" list and put next Saturday night as the due date and then assign each person's reservation to each person (or let them assign themselves).3. Tracking Tasks
For instance, if you work at a company and there are tasks that need to get done but nobody knows who is responsible for them (this happens all the time). You can make a task called "Upgrade our CRM system". Everyone in the company can see this task and put their name on it if they think they might be responsible for it or even say "I think so". Then you can use the app's features to move those tasks around until they land on someone who thinks they are responsible or not responsible anymore.4. Note taking!
You should be able to make any kind of note you want about anything. Like this idea list I am making right now! And then organize notes into projects or categories or whatever so that later when you are looking back at your notes you know where everything is.5. A good interface for collaboration with others on projects and lists and notes.
And good security features so that only certain people can see certain projects or lists or notes or even update them (ie, if I am updating my project "Make an idea list" then only this project would show up in my feed but not my project "Write my novel".
