10 ways to enjoy your sunday
1. Go to a local park
Go to the local park and play a game of pick up basketball or soccer. Or just watch the kids play.
2. Have a family dinner
3. Call your parents
Call your parents and have a real conversation. They might be lonely and enjoy talking to you.
4. Play games with friends or family
Play some board games or card games with family or friends. Or go bowling.
5. Take a walk in the woods (if you live near them)
Take a good long walk in the woods, especially if you live close by. The trees are beautiful this time of year and it's fun to see all the animals coming out from hibernation. | Also, if you don't live near woods, go to Central Park (if you are in NYC), Prospect Park (if you are in Brooklyn), etc. And maybe do #4 above while walking there. I like to read books when I am on walks but I've also seen people playing chess there so that would be fun too. Also - check out this website for hikes near you: https://www.alltrails.com/near/us-ny-new-york-hiking-and-walking- trails-in-new-york#map=6|2|0|0|1|false|1|1|1|1|false|||view_point=0x0000000009e7b8a0|||view_point_source=Trail+Guide+for+Bear+Mountain+State+Park%2C+NY%2C+NY%2C+USA%2C|||view_point_source_id=trailguide_bearmountainstateparknynyusa|||view_point_source_name=Trail+Guide+for+Bear+Mountain+State+Park%2C+NY%2C +NY%2C++USA++|||country=us|||state=ny|||county=orange||
6. Go to a museum / art gallery / library / etc nearby and look at stuff you never looked at before
There is always something new at every place I've ever been that has art or history or whatever else they have there Even if it's just for an hour it's worth it It's amazing how much more interesting things become once we start looking at them with more than one eye , as opposed to just looking at our phones Also , don't forget about your library There are so many great books there that can help spark ideas for projects , reading material , etc Plus , most libraries have free wifi now which makes it easy to research stuff online while sitting on a couch there 3 : Write an email / letter / note / text message telling someone how much they mean to you Sometimes we get caught up in all sorts of nonsense but the people who love us really matter Let them know 4 : Read an old book by an author whose work you really admire and study how they did what they did If I was going to study Hemingway I'd read "A Farewell To Arms" because it's not as well known as his other work but still represents his best work IMO , plus he wrote it when he was younger so we can see his development as an author better than other works where he was older when he wrote them See how he uses dialogue, description, action, etc , and try writing something similar using those techniques (see other authors who use those same techniques) 5 : Go visit
