10 ways to find peace

1. Meditate
Be present. Be focused on the moment. Breathe.
2. Take a walk
If you are feeling tension or emotions towards someone, take a walk.
3. Laugh it off
Rather than feeling anger, watch funny videos and get yourself laughing instead.
4. Use words to get yourself out of that emotional rut
When you start to feel angry, say words like "I'm feeling peeved" or "I'm erupting like a volcano" - anything to get your brain out of that 'rut' that gets you into feeling anger will work.
5. Get a drink
Drink some coffee. Get some water. Find ways to get out of your current situation and do something different.
6. Identify the story you are telling yourself
We all tell ourselves stories based on the facts we see. We see our partner has a strange missed call on their phone and we tell ourselves a story about how our partner is cheating on us.
7. Realize that being angry is a reflection on you and not on other people
8. Be a floating spirit
Before your emotions take over, view your interaction as if you are watching the situation on a screen. Sometimes separating ourselves from the situation gives us clarity in how to deal with the situation.
9. Take three deep breaths
Don't react right away. Breathe. Let it sink in.
10. Give yourself a high-five
You deserve some good vibes. Find a mirror, give yourself a high-five and know that things aren't always as bad as they seem.
