10 Ways to Lose Weight

There is only one way to lose weight. Calories IN must be less than calories OUT.

    1. Figure out why you want to lose weight.

    If you are doing it for someone else. Stop, don't try to lose weight at this time, it's not going to last, you will yo-yo and gain more at the end.

    If you are doing this for you. Calories in < calories out.

    2. Set up a system

    A goal of losing 10 lbs. is fine but then what? Having a system in place will help you maintain this new physical pattern and lifestyle.

    3. No cheat days

    The idea of cheat days are set up so that one gets sick of the food they once wanted by going 'ham' on the cheat day... addicts don't get a cheat day, you don't either.

    4. Figure out if you need positive enforcement or negative and ask for that type of feedback

    My wife gets discouraged when I tell her she is running too slow, she gives up. When I'm told that I'm running too slow , I pick up the pace and it drives me to be better. What will work for you?

    5. Don’t stop

    It's going to go in waves so don't stop when the scale doesn't move. Go back to idea #4 and get that type of feedback
