10 ways to make a constructed language harder to learn

    1. Grammatical gender

    2. More tenses than needed

    3. Cases

    4. Many different ways to change a noun for specificity

    5. Many different ways to change a noun to indicate plural

    6. Inflect nouns and verbs and maybe even more

    7. Include many exceptions

    8. Use tones

I actually like the idea of using tones for a constructed language, but I acknowledge that it would make it harder than it needs to be.

    9. Allow for consonant clusters

    10. Include the tricky sounds that you find in French, like "eu", "an" and "on"
