10 ways to make a constructed language harder to learn
1. Grammatical gender
2. More tenses than needed
3. Cases
4. Many different ways to change a noun for specificity
5. Many different ways to change a noun to indicate plural
6. Inflect nouns and verbs and maybe even more
7. Include many exceptions
8. Use tones
I actually like the idea of using tones for a constructed language, but I acknowledge that it would make it harder than it needs to be.
