10 ways to use a notebook
1. Write jokes
2. Write poetry
3. Practice writing
In addition to just writing jokes or poetry, you can actively practice your skills. Write ten different versions of one joke, change the perspective, change the wording, try different funny filters, etc.
4. Reminders
5. Journaling
6. Writing down the names of people you meet and information about them
I think this is from How To Win Friends and Influence People, or some other book like that. I haven't read it but I came across a few tips from it. While the concept of the book (if it is indeed that one) sounds a bit cringey, I think this is a great idea. I sometimes remember to do this but I usually forget. I'd like to build this habit.
7. Write down words in your target language
I like to draw the word instead of translating it.
8. Drawings
I used to draw and publish simple funny cartoons on my Instagram, it was fun and I received some good feedback. I used to spend too much time on a single drawing though (even though they were very basic). Maybe making simple drawings in a notebook and photographing them would be good enough?
