13 Drool worthy Maui photos to give you immediate wanderlust from my honeymoon
If you get the chance to go to Maui don't think about it just do it. It is worth it.
Follow me and stay tuned for a future list of how to do this kind of trip on a budget.

1. Aloha!
My name is Collin. I will be your tour guide.
I'm going to take you on the trip of your life.
I hope you brought strong shoes, you can just throw those flip flops in the trash.

2. Haleakala Sunset
National parks never disappoint.
Drive up to the top and watch the sunset or sunrise. BRING HEAVY CLOTHING! It is really cold up there, especially when the sun goes down and stay a while to see all the stars with no light pollution.

3. How about a Sheraton Maui besch sunset?
I would recommend staying at a nice hotel like the Sheraton Maui. Even if you have to save up for it. The beach, sunsets, landscape is worth it. The other island in the distance is Molokai, which is a very sparesly populated one. You can take a helicopter ride over there. Very Jurassic Park.

4. Meeting new friends
Maui is not really your relax on the beach vaca. If you want to do that go to Mexico or some Caribbean island where there is not much else to do.
There are a lot of outdoor activities on Maui:
- Rainforest
- Bamboo Forest
- Beach
- Mountain
- Snorkeling
The list goes on and on. When you take your trip make it count. See all the different types of ecosystems. Rent a car and drive around.
On this trip I saw 4 sea turtles while snorkeling in 3 separate locations. I found this guy using my GoPro on Wailea beach, which is the south Maui shore. He scared me because I did not see him till he was right behind me.

5. North Maui highway
Hey car companies, if you are listening you should all immediately go film commercials driving along the treacherous roads of Northwest Maui. It is really remote and it is not uncommon to come across fallen rocks.

6. Blowhole lava rocks
The lava landscape is really otherworldly.

7. Dragons Tooth
Someone created this maze in the ground.

8. Driving up the mountain
Maui loves its long meandering roads. And you better watch out for the livestock. This one is up into the West Maui Mountains.

9. I just want a lite breakfast
Ok so I may have stopped at the Costco when I got off the plane at the airport just to eat the hotdog. But Maui really does have great food.
Eat a big breakfast and then go tackle your days.
Maui does not really have weeks like the rest of us. Every day is just another day in paradise and visitors comes 24/7 365 to play on the island. Each day just blends into the last one.

10. How old are you?
What?! You don't have this tree in your backyard?
This is one of the oldest Banyan trees on the island. There are actually several that are as impressive as this one.
Quote:
" I could trim those tree limbs, so that it lets more light in for plants to grow." Bob - my dad
FYI they do not allow trimming or climbing on this tree. We get fragile when we get old.
This guy was also on the way to the Bamboo forest, which is also magical. The tallest bamboo, is was basically hiking in the dark because the bamboo is so tall and thick and it crowds out all other plant life.
Also it is really safe to hike in Maui, there are no really predators that can hurt you. But the bugs are a different story, those mosquitos will get you.

11. The Road to Hana
The Jungle Book brought to life.

12. I could not stop myself
Best snack ever.

13. Oh, just humble lodgings
Just a quaint cottage by the beach.
