5 Simple Rules To Live By

1. Focus Only On What's In Your Control
What's in your control? Your thoughts and actions.
2. Do Your Best
If you fail after doing your best you can rest easily knowing nothing more could have been done, at that point in time. You can look back and learn lessons so you're even better next time. Don't allow yourself to regret the past.
3. It's All on Loan
Never forget that you own nothing. Your possessions, home, family and friends aren't yours, their gods, the universes, times (or whatever you want to call it). Loss hurts a lot more than gain, returning something hurts a lot less than loss. When the time comes to return something to the universe's remind yourself that it was never yours to begin with and you'll reduce your grief significantly (You'll still have it, but this will help a lot).
4. Leave Every Situation Happy
You never know when it might be the last time you see a loved one. Happy endings lead to more happy times. We forget high points and endings, so if a situation is bad, continue it and end happy. We'll forget most of the bad in time, but remember how we felt at the end for a lot longer.
5. Never Stop Learning
Learning improves our lives if you want to get better with age, never stop learning.
