7 hacks for living fearlessly

    1. The 30-day no contact rule

Every day for the next 30 days, make a list of people you are in some sort of relationship with. Spouse, kids, business partners, employees, friends, family, etc. Now tell yourself that for the next 30 days you will not communicate with any of them in any way (no phone calls, texts, emails, social media). And you can't explain to them why. You just have to do it and see what happens. The first few days will be hard but then you will get used to it and it will become easier. And then start having real conversations with the people on your list instead of just messaging them all day long.

    2. The Fearless 10

Before going to bed each night for the next 10 nights list 10 things you are grateful for or proud of from that day. Before dawn (it's important to do this before dawn) write down 10 ideas that excite you about the future or new opportunities or projects or whatever is interesting to you. Write them down as if they are happening right now even though they might not be happening for years. Do this every morning for ten days straight and see what happens.

    3. No phones at dinner

Try having dinner with your family without using your phone at all during dinner time (from when everyone sits down until after dessert). See what happens and report back here. I'm curious about this one!

    4. Make a friend in an opposing political party

I know this sounds hard but try anyway for the next month or so to make a friend who is in a different political party than you are. Try out different venues where they might hang out (for me it would be chess tournaments) and strike up conversation there if possible. Maybe they will invite you over for dinner or coffee or something like that and then see where it goes from there. This one is probably harder than the others but I find most people who are extreme left or right wing are actually very nice once you get past the sound bites on TV news shows and actually talk with them one on one in person over a period of time (which is not possible on TV).

    5. Say "no" more often

For each day this month say "no" twice as many times as usual when people ask favors of you or want to meet with you or whatever else. If I say "yes" twice as much as usual then I am saying "no" four times more than usual! It's hard but try it out and see what happens especially if those requests come from close friends/family members who won't take no for an answer easily (this part is important because otherwise it's too easy to just say "yes" again later). Try saying no twice as much as usual AND don't explain why AND don't feel guilty about it afterward if they are upset by it (they will be upset). Just move on with your life and let them figure out their own lives without your help sometimes .

    6. The 100 Day Challenge!

For 100 days straight: - wake up at 6am - exercise - eat breakfast - write 1,000 words every single day- read 30 pages from a book every day- go outside every evening around sunset and watch the sun set.- go to bed by midnightTry doing this for 100 days straight without skipping any days unless absolutely necessary due to health reasons etc., When done correctly , there should be no excuses left after 100 days . Then report back here how this has changed your life! This was inspired by Tim Ferriss' book "The 4 Hour Body".
