8 interesting facts that I just learned this week
Life is about constantly growing. Whether you are improving your mind, body or soul, there is always room for improvement. Think about it, if you fill you brain with great ideas, the bad ideas will be pushed out of your brain. Body and soul improvements should work the same way.
1. Abraham Lincoln (16th US President) never went to law school
Lincoln practiced law before going into politics. He entered the law profession without even going to law school! Back then they thought that experience and the person's character was enough to allow someone to become a lawyer.
2. Australopithecus was an early human ancestor, after splitting off from chimpanzees, and had an average height of 4 feet tall.
They lived about 2 to 3 million years ago.
3. On March 4, 2022, a floating rocket (space junk from a previous space mission) crashed into the moon, creating a new crater.
No one is taking ownership of these rockets.
4. The average life expectancy was about 30 to 40 years for Europeans up until around 1800.
Living to 60 or 70 was not unusual, but the fact that so many people died before hitting 10 caused the average to only reach 40.
5. Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire will freeze over during the winter, and can lead to ice fishing and driving cars on ice.
I only care to see it when the water is warm.
6. There are fewer than 1000 Samaritans in the world today.
They practice a form of Judaism.
