A beer-guide to Prtugal, or, some basic tips to ask a beer in Portugal
Does it take a guide to ask a beer in Portugal? Well, if you want to taste the culture of those beautiful country, yes, there is so much to know about
1. Cerveja, the word for beer
Pronounced ser-ve-juh
2. Bottle or draft? The "harsh" way
Of course you can ask for bottle beer saying "cerveja em garrafa", and that is fine, or a draft beer saying "cerveja de pressão", but you will look quite outlandish
3. The two main brands of beer in Portugal
These are named "Sagres" (read sa-grush) , like a city in the far south of the country, and "Super Bock". They are also the sponsors of the two football (I mean, soccer, for US friends) of Lisbon, respectively Benfica and Sporting.
4. A 33cl beer in bottle, just ask for "cerveja de garrafa "
5. You want to share with friends? Ask for a "litrosa"

6. Draft beers. The 20cl is the most common format, and is called... were actually are you?
From all the region of Lisbon southward just ask for an "Imperial", from a famous brend established in 1916 but no longer in activity. The brend was from Lisbon, so in the north they feel some rivality... if you are in the north, especially Porto and Coimbra you'd better go for a "fino" (read fee-now)
7. You want just few sips? You have the option "Mini"
