AI Things I Did Today / Recently
Is ChatGPT worth $20 a month to me? Today we used it for a few things, which saved me a crap load of time and probably money. So, the answer is "yes."
1. Got a fix for my HP printer
Printer kept saying it was offline. AI said Windows was using a flaky auto-detect method, so we switched it to a direct numeric address, which is simpler and more reliable.
2. How to move images in Dropbox
Want to consolidate a bunch of folders into one. Easy for my pix, but we have a bunch of lacrosse pix shared with us that I need to transfer over one at a time.
3. Use 750 Words website entries to try to create something useful
I downloaded nine years of txt files from their website and ended my service there as I wasn't using it often enough. But, it is basically a journal and I wanted to see what I could do with it. Still in the midst of processing it.
4. W-2 Clarification
A woman from work was told by her tax preparer that the W-2 form should have overtime pay broken out. I knew that wasn't right, but confirmed and sent her AI's explanation and told her to get the OT amount from her last 2025 pay stub.
5. Daily E-Mail Reading
I have it set up to read and give me a summary of what's important, and move what isn't into an archive folder. The e-mail address is a personal one, forwarded to a Gmail account used just for that. Love the way it works.
6. LLC Formation Services Review
Want to set up an LLC for a few things I'm doing / looking to do. Its top recommendation was one that my brother had used, so all I need to do now is press the "checkout" button and I'm moving forward.
7. Setting Up the LLC
Also made a plan for how to set up a DBA and transfer IP and other assets to the LLC.
8. Asked for an explanation of what moltbot is
Not sure I'm ready to handle setting up a digital assistant on my PC, but at least I know the option is there.
9. Heart Rate range for my age
So the number on my FitBit when I'm shoveling snow (or exercising) means something.
10. Images
Had it draw a few images of silly ideas in my head.
11. Football Case Problems
To keep my mind in the rule book.
