1. Two Sides of God’s Infinite Flow.
God doesn’t dish out blessings and burdens like separate servings — that’s like trying to fill a tub riddled with holes. Everything leaks through, because the truth is, blessings and burdens are two sides of the same coin, inseparable in the grand design.
Imagine standing before a tub filled with holes, frantically drawing water to fill it. The harder you try, the more the water slips away, escaping through every gap. This is like our attempt to separate blessings from burdens in our lives. The human mind, rooted in the ego, craves control and order — it wants to categorize experiences as "good" or "bad," hoping to maximize pleasure and avoid pain. But, in reality, the tub (our life) is full of holes because the ego's view of life is fragmented.
God doesn't hand out blessings in one hand and burdens in another because God doesn't operate from the dualistic mindset that we do. To God, there’s no distinction between blessing and burden — only the wholeness of creation. The ego, on the other hand, insists on making those distinctions, just as it insists on separating truth from illusion.
Here’s where it gets profound: just as water leaks through a hole-filled tub, our attempts to categorize life's events as purely positive or negative slip through our grasp. We can’t hold on to blessings while pushing burdens away, because it’s all part of one continuous flow. The separation exists only in the mind's perception, not in reality.
The so-called "burdens" in life carry the seeds of transformation, while "blessings" become burdens when they are misunderstood or clung to. Everything serves the purpose of awakening when seen through the eyes of Spirit. The holes in the tub — are the ego's limitations — and the very place where healing occurs. Instead of trying to patch them up or control the flow, we are invited to recognize that the tub doesn’t need fixing. The moment we stop judging the water (blessings/burdens) and simply accept the flow, we align with the Truth that transcends duality.
The real blessing is in letting go of the distinctions and seeing all experiences as opportunities to remember the truth of who we are. When the water flows freely, the tub is no longer the focus — it's the unity of the water itself.
So, the question is — are you still trying to fill that leaky tub, or are you ready to see that the water was never separate in the first place?
