Body Surfing
We're in Maui for few days and after we hike in the morning we usually go to a beach for the afternoon. One thing I love to do is body surf. It's not like I can do any tricks, surf really big waves or that anyone would want to watch but I can very reliably catch waves and ride them a good way and it is insanely fun. A couple of useful things for body surfing. Picture from Po'Olenalena Beach

1. It takes hand eye coordination to time the waves and be able to ride them.
2. You need to be able to swim decently.
I'm far from a gifted swimmer but being at least adequate is important.
3. Have to be ok getting thrown around a little
and occasionally getting dunked by a wave.
4. Need some stamina
I think anyone who is moderately fit won't even lose their breath but there is exertion from swimming, jumping up after you've ridden a wave and then getting back out for the next one.
5. Crazy fun
It really is a blast.
