Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked." (Luke 6:35)

    1. We are all one in God/Christ, with no real enemies except the ego's belief in separation and attack thoughts.

Loving our perceived "enemies" is really about looking past their ego behavior to see their true divine Self.
Doing good and giving without expectation of return is aligned with ACIM's teaching on true forgiveness - giving without wanting anything in return, thus undoing the ego's constant drive to get and take.
Our "reward" is the inner peace, joy, and connection to our true Self that comes from letting go of grievances and seeing only the Christ in others, regardless of their behavior.
Being "children of the Most High" means claiming our divine nature as God's one Son, the Christ Self that sees only innocence beyond the illusion of sin and evil.
God's kindness extends with equal love to all His Sons, both to the "ungrateful and wicked" egos that believe in sin, and to the holy Sons who have remembered their true Identity.
Loving our enemies and giving without expectation aligns with the truth that there are no separate interests, and as we give love we simultaneously receive it, because giver and receiver are one. What we give to others, we give to ourselves.
This Bible verse conveys the core teaching of choosing love over fear, oneness over separation, and extending miracles to heal the illusion of being separate from God and from each other. It reminds us of the peace and happiness found in aligning our mind with the unconditional love of God.
