Catastrophic Personnel Decisions By The Boston Red Sox

They are my team and I love them but by God they've done some stupid things over the years.

1. Carlton Fisk

They supposedly missed a deadline that made Fisk a free agent.

2. Fred Lynn

Kind of a similar thing as Fisk. Lynn to this day says he wanted to stay.

3. Mookie Betts

He's clearly and obviously a hall of famer in the making and they let him get away.

4. Xander Bogaerts

Not sure if he'll quite be a hall of famer but I'm quite certain he'll end up in the Red Sox hall of fame.

5. Babe Ruth

This is a part of baseball lore. In 1920, Sox owner Harry Frazee sold Ruth to the Yankees to finance a musical that flopped.
