99.9% of people would have given up when they found out the person wasn't there.
What am I talking about?
- He contacts the best coaches in the country by email.
- He gets an appointment with one of them.
- He flies across the country to meet him.
- Proactivity: asking for the appointment, the call, the meeting.
- Rejection: these are often activities that take you out of your comfort zone with a risk of rejection.
- Creativity: when things don't go as planned (and they never do), you have to create new options.
- Effort: you must be willing to make the disciplined effort to constantly learn.
- It's already too late: when presented as an opportunity, it's (often) too late. There is less competition when you take the lead.
