    1. Truth bombs

From @easymoneyme. This list will challenge you which is good. Number 8 about solar panels. We have solar instead of a propane generator not because of the greenness of it. It isn't all that green but is good for self-sufficiency IMO. While I agree that knocking down trees to put up solar panels or wind turbines is not ideal, there's vast space in AZ, NV, NM and the California desert for plenty of panels without knocking down anything. Not green but better self-sufficiency for the country's energy needs when combined with other sources.

    2. Tiny Habits

From @MrOTG. Changing habits is the way to go to improve. The easiest example is with how we eat. Don't go on a diet, change your eating habits. It's a different mindset.

Funny about me, my wife thinks I am a robot when it comes to this stuff. In early 2017 I found out I was pre-diabetic. I found low carb online that day and started it, that day. Literally that day. I changed my habit like I was turning on a lamp. My wife really gets a kick out this part of my personality. Oh and low carb reversed the pre-diabetes right away and I dropped 30 pound I didn't know I needed to lose almost instantly.

    3. Odd observation from me

I have been getting a daily email from Bespoke Investment Group with content that is part of my daily work reading since Bespoke was founded some time during the Great Financial Crisis, so 12, 13, 14 years or so. Getting it every day to my Yahoo email (before I had Gmail) all this time. For some crazy reason, today, after all these years, Yahoo put a notice in the email that said "we think this is Spam but we'll keep sending it to your inbox because the sender is in your contacts." Very helpful.

    4. Tactics to overcome a setback

That challenge going around, all I can add is to recognize when a set back is or is not within your control. Getting upset about something beyond your control is counterproductive.

    5. Doing favors for your future self

Is essentially what @Remikit is saying in his list. This is a point I've been making in various places for many years. Things like living below your means, exercising, eating right, learning new skills and pursuing opportunities are all examples of doing things for your future self. The result here can be you find yourself in your 50's or 60's, still able to get it done, with a little bit of a financial cushion and optionality for what you want to do.
