Electronics drawer challenge
In no specific order
1. Break down the cords and sell the components.
How much is copper going for? How many other devices use that plug but not that cord?
2. Call them retro and post them for sale online.
If it's retro or vintage, it must be worth more.
3. Know your cord trivia night.
First you have to figure out what all your cords and doo-dads go to. Better if you still have the device too. Then host a trivia night where players have to identify the device or appliance from the cord. Of course, the house keeps the vig that each player has to pony up.
4. Find the Device Treasure Hunt
You're not allowed to throw away the cord until you find the device it belongs to. Who knows, maybe it is an original Atari 2600.
5. Find the Right Dealer at the Flea Market.
Somebody at the boot sale or pawn shop has all the old devices. Maybe they need cords to match.
6. Create art.
Techno macrame anyone?
7. Weave them.
Rugs, doormats, placemats, etc. Just remove plugs and connectors.
8. Make a fence
Collect all the extraneous electronic cords and ephemera from your neighbors and create flexible, weatherproof fencing. Anything from a baby gate to a garden fence and beyond.
