Every industry is a scam

    1. Healthcare

The healthcare system in the United States is a slush fund. There are so many different ways that it is taken advantage of because it has been made extremely complicated, but everyone needs and uses the services.

    Why a scam?

The majority of hospitals are considered non-profit. They are usually affiliated with some type of religious organization. They are designed to be for the public good, but they make a lot of money and benefits the people that run the hospital.

    2. Energy

    OPEC

There is plenty of oil in the world, but a few nations control the world supply and therefore price.

    3. Software

    SaaS

You no longer install software on your computer. Everything is cloud based now, so when you stop paying your monthly bill you stop getting access to the software.

    4. Crypto

I think there are use cases for crypto, but it is also a scam.

It takes a lot of electricity to power the creation of new crypto. That is money going out in US dollars. The currency needs a constant stream of new people receiving, buying, and trading the coins to make them have any value. Which is kind of like a ponzi scheme.

And then coins are not backed by anything of value, just the value that consumers place on the coins.

    5. Law

Lawyers create new laws and then charge a fee to work within those laws.

    6. Politics

Big money in politics. Need I say more.

    7. College

Student loans and college tuition. Need I say more.

    8. Grocery Stores

You have to be careful when you spend money at a grocery store. Some items are reasonable priced, but then many are way over priced.

The coupon price is closer to the real price of the item. Stores know that you are going to buy more than you actually need and they anticipate that you are only going to want to shop at one store rather than going to multiple. And they hope that you do not use the coupon to get the actual price of the item.

Most people go to one store and buy everything they need from that store and pay whatever the store price is, because they need the items and they don't really want to think about the price.

Grocery stores also notoriously pay their workers low wages.

    9. Luxury Goods

    Where to begin.

Some stores burn their goods that are not sold to keep the supply chain low and the items valuable.

Luxury does generally have better quality than fast fashion, but not 300X better quality. The price is high so that only a select few can afford to purchase.

    10. Military

The US military budget never goes down and there is a massive industry that is supported by tax dollars.

    11. Media - Advertising

Media determines how much ad space costs which is pretty arbitrary.

Media is also all about the narrative. Most people do not live a life that fits easily into a narrative. Humans are complex and often random. But media is organized into stories. Beginning, middle, end.

Everything must fit into a narrative or they do not include it in their broadcast.

    12. Housing

    Interest rates anyone?

The tax and debt benefits or real estate.

    13. Finances

Wall street and government go hand in hand.

    Financial crimes rarely get prosecuted.

Financial firms make money from lots of hidden fees.

    14. Airlines

Loyalty points programs. Changing ticket prices. Constant bankruptcies
