Familiar tools I need to drop
1. The To-Do list
I used to be a "GTD" guy. But now I just write down all the things I want to do in a day on a piece of paper and then do them. No need for an app.
2. Email
I used to check email first thing in the morning and last thing at night but that's not healthy so now I only check it twice a day. And if someone needs an immediate response, they know to text me or call me instead of emailing me.
3. Twitter
I don't need an app to tell me what is happening on Twitter. I can see it for myself.
4. An address book
I used to have one but now everyone is on social media so I just look people up there if I need to get in touch with them again.
5. A journal
I used to write down my thoughts every morning and read them at night before going to bed. But this was too much effort so now I don't bother with any sort of journaling since most thought are immediately posted online anyway (see above).
