Favorite Places To Eat
No fancy restaurants for me... here's where I like to go when I can. Many of these are in central New Jersey, and I'm now in the northern hinterlands of the Garden State, so I don't get there as often as I like, but my cardiologist prefers it that way... :)
1. White Castle
The classic, whether you call them sliders, ratburgers, belly bombs or something else, four with cheese, fries, and maybe their mac & cheese bites are a perennial favorite. https://www.whitecastle.com/
2. Stuff Yer Face
A college place specializing in strombolis. When I'm around New Brunswick, I try to get their for a Turkey Club Boli. https://stuffyerface.com/
3. White Rose System
A classic post-bar scene place to go in college, not only were the burgers the best (bacon cheeseburger for me), fries in a waxed bag, and a cherry Coke. And, this greasy spoon was open for the hang-over breakfast. https://www.wrburgers.com/
4. Tastee Sub
Consistently great, and with a location a par-5 away from my old condo, if I wanted a sub this is where I went back in the day. https://tasteesubshop.com/
5. Stewarts
As far back as I can remember, there was Stewart's for root beer in iced mugs, hot dogs with the fixins', and crinkle cut fries.
