Favorite Practical Things

1. My old ThinkPad E470
The integrated mouse buttons directly above the touchpad allow text to be cut and pasted without having to take your fingers off the keyboard.
2. Citizen EcoDrive wristwatch
The solution to the clock problem: Thanks to the solar drive, there is no need to change the battery. Sapphire glass and titanium prevent scratches.
3. Jeans
Jeans have the magical ability that you never have to wash them. The fact that they are washed seems to be more of a social convention.
4. Hammock stand + hammock
Slightly better for the back, and you don't have to wash the bed linen
5. Electric kettle
Endless supply of coffee, tea and noodle soups
6. Kindle or PDFs
Much easier on the eyes than most books
7. Croqs
Usually all shoes start to stink at some point. Croqs are the notable exception.
8. That SympaTex windbreaker jacket from 1994
9. The old black and white laser printer
A Kyocera FS-1300D. Endless printouts, although I almost despaired of the task of cleaning it. After the delivery by mail the whole inside was dirty.
10. My bike
That thing weighs over 14 kg, which certainly has a training effect.
