1. Why Adam and Eve Didn’t Gain Knowledge.
Jesus in ACIM talks about true Knowledge — capital K Knowledge — which is not something you gain from this world. It’s pure, eternal, and beyond all perception. It’s like being plugged directly into Truth, with no middleman.
Now, contrast this with the Bible’s story of Adam and Eve and their supposed “Tree of Knowledge.” That wasn’t real knowledge they were biting into — it was a lie. They didn’t gain some divine insight. They traded pure, eternal Truth for illusion — separation, guilt, fear. It was like eating a fruit that makes you forget who you really are and traps you in a dream world of conflict.
Think about it. The knowledge they “gained” wasn’t enlightenment, but confusion. It’s like swapping the infinite sky for a mirror that only shows your own little world. They bought into the false promise of a knowledge rooted in perception, ego, and division — everything that keeps you stuck in the illusion. So, the tree didn’t give them access to the mind of God; it locked them out of it.
In other words, the story was never about real Knowledge — it’s a cautionary tale about false knowledge. The kind that makes you think you know, but really you’ve just reinforced your own ignorance. The world of perception offers “knowledge,” sure, but it’s like feeding on empty calories — looks good, tastes sweet, but leaves you hollow and more confused.
That’s why it's called a dream. You’re chasing knowledge in the wrong place— outside, in the world of form — when the real deal is within, beyond perception, beyond the dream, beyond the ego’s little mind-games.
Adam and Eve didn’t gain Knowledge; they lost it. Real Knowledge? It’s not of this world.
Now, let’s get back to what matters — waking up.
