Godot Engine: a Game Engine and Amazing Tool

Godot Engine is a lightweight open source app that let's you create 2D and 3D games. It's free and open source and is kinda like what Blender is for 3D, Godot Engine is for making games. You can compile games for windows, mac, android, ios, web, and even consoles.

This is cool and all but it also has some "hidden" capabilities that make it so much more interesting. The app itself is a "Godot Game" meaning it's using its own engine to create the tool to make more games! And you can use this ability to create your own apps by just using the built - in UI components and some scripting.
