Habits That Distract Us From Taking Meaningful Action
1. Checking email all day
Have set times to check your email and respond to people
2. Social Media - Insta, YouTube, TikTok etc
Have set times to check your social media and/or post. Do not fall down the rabbit hole
3. Daily top 3
Do your top 3 most important tasks first during the day.
4. Daily agenda
Give yourself an agenda. Meetings, work blocks, reading, etc.
5. Phone calls
Let phone calls go to voicemail to let you get work done.
6. Meal planning
Stopping trying to figure out what you are going to eat in the moment. Plan out meals and preprepare them to save time, money and decision fatigue.
7. 5 seconds rule
Count down from 5 and then just do it.
Have a streak counter for actions that you want to do daily.
9. Accountability partner
Have someone that you are accountable to. And then be accountable to someone else.
10. Stop attending meetings/events
Stop going to things where you are not needed.
