How Do You Set Yourself Up For a Good Day?

I have been fortunate to have some good circumstances in the past 5 years. I have a job that I enjoy where I can work from home.

    1. Know what you will do tomorrow the night before

    This lets your subconscious work on issues and planning

    2. Next level: write down plans in a journal for the next day while analyzing today

    I don't know how these internet gurus have so much time and dedication to constant journaling but it seems to work for themĀ 

    3. Walk a dog regularly

    This gives my day rhythm and it is the first thing I do when I get up and the last thing before bed. Most of the time I try to meditate but many times I am staring at my phone the whole time. Sometimes I make a list!

    4. Drink a quart of water first thing

    5. Have a quart of French press coffee second thing

    6. Be outdoors throughout the day

    7. Post a whiteboard in your workspace

    This is a great spot to store your todos and gets them out of your brain space. Also good for thinking

    8. Watch the sunrise

    9. Do some yoga in the morning

    10. Get a good nights sleep

    I am a night owl and had to train myself not to start a new activity after 10pm and just go to sleep. The dog wakes me up anyway. I also started using high end sleep masks (by Manta) that are super comfortable and provide total blackout. They have increased my deep sleep time by 10%
