How Do You Set Yourself Up For a Good Day?
Here is how I set up for my day.
1. Meditate
Before any coffee, 1st thing 5am Sam Harris’s daily meditation on waking up or if I am feeling super unsettled just focus on the breath.
2. Coffee
I have a pretty elaborate coffee set up and I know that I am not supposed to have coffee in the 1st 2 hours but it is essential for step 3.
3. Read
Nothing too in depth just an entry from Ryan Holidays daily Stoic.
4. Write
Journal, this has become one of if not the favorited part of my day.
5. Walk to the Gym
My gym is 15 mins away so get that direct subnlight in and help set that circadian clock.
6. Work out
I bounce around with my workouts but have found that to become defined and build muscle, lifting heavy on reverse pyramid training (3 sets with the heaviest set 1st, kino body is where I got this training style from)is best for me.
7. Swim
I am very lucky to live close to a big, beautiful body of water, the Pacific Ocean and my gym has an ocean pool with a view. Its is magic. I am realising how lucky I am while I write this, and I am very grateful.
8. Time with my baby boy
Either my wife will bring baby boy down to the pool or I will go home and hang out with him for an hour before work begins.
9. 10 Ideas
Either my a new addition to my morning routine I do 1stthing in the office.
10. Write down goals
There are usually only 3 or 4 but they are important and difficult things I need to do to have a productive day.
