How I Will Use NotePD Going Forward

I think the pressure to maintain a long streak creates a lot of pressure on users. This is probably a big reason why many of the users who used to frequent NotePD stopped posting. It's a little devastating to get a 30 or 40 day streak going, only to lose it because I was too busy to post, had to deal with a personal situation, or wanted to have a short vacation.

Simply put, I will post an idea list when I have the time and desire to do so. I might post daily, or this may be my last post for a while. Either way, creating a post only to maintain a streak will no longer be a factor for me.

This is so I can make an honest effort to exercise my own idea muscle without being tempted to use AI to fill up a list for me. This will also give me the freedom to create lists without worrying if it's worthy of sharing.

This way, I only have to log in once or twice a week in order to have a semi-consistent upload schedule.

If I want to see more activity from users I like, showing a little appreciation is a low price.

It would be great if users had the option of having a "table of contents" (or "Folders" to steal an idea from @roccodesta) on their profile page to group lists of similar themes together. The next best option would be to create a list of lists as an idea list or status update.

While books and blogs are great tools for learning, actual experience gained through lived experiences gives tacit knowledge that is difficult for an author writing a book or article meant for mass consumption to express.

This could take a while though.

Unless things change and the team behind NotePD start taking an interest in the site again, trying to write lists I think people will like instead of what I like is pointless anyway.

In the current era, it's incredibly easy to get demoralized by the media we consume. This includes both traditional and social media, in all of its forms. Creating something, even something as simple as a list of ideas is uplifting.

I definitely think my writing has degraded as a result of my time away from here. So long as NotePD exists and I'm able to log in, I will try to write here on a somewhat consistent basis. Hopefully I can continue to create and improve, even if out of a hope that the website turns around and people come back to share their own creations with the NotePD community.
