How to use wishes and affirmations

I've been doing some research on wishes and affirmations over the last few weeks. Various authors use different techniques that seem to work (against the laws of probability).

Here are the most important points.

    1. Scott Adams often used affirmations

His method is to formulate a goal, e.g. I Scott Adams will be a famous cartoonist.

You write down a sentence like that 15 times a day.

    2. The German actor Pierre Franck has developed a technique of wishing that is somewhat different.

He also says that you should imagine the desired state exactly. He works more with visualizations. You should always return to your goal in your own mind.

    3. I want to actually use this

Both methods are probably better suited to different requirements: Writing down the phrases for book sales and visualizing for finding a love relationship or excellent health.

    4. This could work if the universe is a conscious organism that reacts to our ideas

    5. In games like backgammon, I experience time and again that reality does not abide by the laws of probability

    6. If probability distributions are also the rule in reality, this is perhaps a nasty trick by a higher power to trick us into believing in coincidences.

    7. What if there are no coincidences?

I am not a mathematician, but I will do some research how this has been empirically investigated.

    8. Paradoxically, this view would lead me not to trust too much in the improbability of certain events - and to be more cautious in some things.

    9. Gambling would become an interesting option.

It is a way of allowing life to grant me gifts.

    10. This view would lead to more trust.

Which in turn would lead to more self-confidence and a more relaxed attitude to life.
