How to Write Your Story and Manage Your Inner Critic
There is no place for your inner critic when you are starting your story writing project.

1. Lock Your Inner Critic Out of The Room
Start freewriting and lock your inner critic out of the room. Freewriting engages your creativity, and puts you in the flow state of freely putting your ideas on paper, or in a laptop, without the fear of criticism. Let the writing flow naturally.

2. Keep Freewriting Until You Have a First Draft
Freewriting unlocks your feelings stored in your body so you can get them on the page, as you engage your heart and gut and senses in the process and by-pass your critic, or logical mind.

3. Read Over Your Story Draft and Surprise Yourself
Are there any passages you can't believe you wrote. Why? Because there were divined from the depths of your subconscious mind while you were allowing yourself the uninterrupted freedom of writing.

4. Allow Your Critical Mind Back in The Room for The Editing Process
Once you have garnered some spontaneous gems of wisdom from your freewriting, you can engage your logical mind and start editing.
Start by correcting spelling, punctuation, and altering word choices to make your message clearer. Then check sentence structure and overall flow.

5. Editing is All About Clarity.
After you edit your story, read it out loud to see if it sounds good and makes sense. Your ears are a great editing tool. You don't want to distract your readers ears, but to make the words flow naturally, like speech.

6. Master Writers Work Together With Their Inner Critic Right From The Start of Their Story
But most of us are afraid of criticism, and some of us are so afraid of it, it paralyzes our writing. Some call this writer's block, but it is fear of criticism.
The master writers see working together with their critic from the start as an opportunity to improve their writing and sharpen their skills. And maybe even make a lot of money! If you love writing, keep writing and have fun! One day you will be a master.
