I see all things as I would have them be. (1 min 24 sec)

    1. This A Course in Miracles lesson cuts deep.

Judgment is perception. When I judge — be it Trump, the election, my family, or my neighbor—I’m not seeing it as it truly is. I’m filtering it through my beliefs, ideals, opinions, fears. I’m seeing it as I want it to be.
If I’m judging, then I must be seeing. But how can I judge what I haven’t truly seen? If I see through judgment, that judgment becomes reality in my mind. Projection is perception: I project my thoughts onto you, and then perceive you through that lens, rarely questioning its truth. It’s reflexive — I believe it happened, so it must be true. And we think we’re right, always right, don’t we?
Admitting we might be wrong? That’s hard, almost painful. We cling to beliefs as if our lives depend on it, tightening our grip. But one day, the pain of holding on outweighs the relief of letting go. In that moment, letting go isn’t forced; it’s the only choice. The pain of holding is greater than the freedom in release.
The shift? Realizing: I see all things as I would have them be. It’s not the world that changes — it’s you, lifting the veil you placed over everything.
