Ideas on how to market fine art
Sometimes people want to paint or sculpt animals out of logs but the walls of their house quickly get overrun with items they made. This problem is two fold. One is that the house becomes squishy and uncomfortable, and two, only friends and close associates get to see the work.

1. Create your art live
This takes some boldness. I worry that I will make a blunder and appear foolish. People do like to watch art being made. Keep a pile of business cards available at a distance that will people will feel safe approaching you.
2. Use a small painting with a QR code on the back as a gift card
You have either sold a small painting for a high price or you have encouraged the customer to make a larger purchase
3. Get your art in a publicly available area
Put it in a coffee shop or street corner. Make sure your contact information is nearby
4. Speak at an ancillary conferences
Talk about the benefits of artwork at a hotel managers conference.
5. Have a place where you can be found at a consistent place and time
either a studio or a live on location painting site.
6. Gain eye contact
When you see someone hanging back and looking at your art, try to catch their eye. If you do ask what they like about the art to encourage positive feelings.
7. Have a day rate in mind if someone has a custom request
If they like your style, but don't have the subject they are looking for. This should be more expensive than preproduced art.
8. Sell your art ready to display
Have it in a frame with a wall anchor and screw taped to the back so the patron can hang and enjoy the art as soon as they take it home.
9. Make sure the art is expensive
It is hard for me to accept but luxury products have a higher demand at a higher price
10. Consider selling prints.
and greeting cards and calendars
11. Fractionalize your art using NFTs
12. Sell your work online
Use platforms like Etsy or create your own website to sell your artwork.
13. Collaborate with other artists
Find other artists to collaborate with on projects, and promote each other's work.
