Ideas to make malls successful in today's day and age

1. Computer lab - Wework space

Create space for professional people to come and work.

2. High end stores

Malls with lots of really high end stores: Gucci, Prada, LV, RL, RH. Tend to do better with foot traffice.

3. Add a few really nice hotels onto the mall.

People stay in the hotel and then wander around the mall.

4. Restaurants - nightclubs.

Give people a fun place to come and enjoy.

5. Green space for local events and dog park.

Malls have tons of space, why not host an annual music or film festival.

6. Apartments/condos

People live/work/shop in the same place.

7. Gym

People keep coming back day after day.

8. Grocery store

Walmart/Target/Costco

This would really drive traffic to a mall.

9. Connect a sports arena

A large mass of people at one time.

10. Attach a theme park
