In memory of my Dad
The greatest honor of my life! At a private Halloween party/surprise concert with the Billy Joel tribute band, I requested the song, Lullaby, which is my dad’s (blessed memory) song to me. Not only did they play it during the encore, but they invited me onstage to sing it with them. Super emotional. I was shaking and crying. The audience was crying with me and the biggest compliment I received was “The emotion was raw and real & in a fake world that was beautiful.” Yesterday would have been his 80th Birthday! Notice the slide behind me while I’m singing my last line, “That’s how Dad, & I will be” completely synchronistic!
