James Quandahl interviews James Altucher Podcast
It just kind of popped up right after I finished a different James Altucher Show podcast. I was driving and couldn't switch over. Usually I wouldn't listen to an interview if I didn't know the person. I REALLY enjoyed this interview. I highly recommend it for everyone. I am only half way through it too. I just think it should be listened too.
1. Anxiety Med Story
I knew that it was a thing of the past but I didn't realize it's a current thing. I love this story. I am so tempted to go on anti anxiety medications. I understand what he means by writing can cause a lot of anxiety. I want to write and I kind of want to be on them even more now. Maybe not what James is taking but something else. I am terrified though because I have had to get off anti depressants and stimulants. It took extreme measures for me to be able to do so.
2. Social Media Focus
The only time I am really focused on social media while doing other things is when I am lying in bed or watching tv. I might check it out at lunch while at school. I do think you can't be present if you are always on social media I see it when I see parents with their children. Now I don't have kids but I am a teacher. The more a parent is on their social media than with their child.. the more badly behaved the child is. That is my feeling. It might also be the reason that even though I have desperately wanted children my whole life.. I am ok at almost 40. The desperation is diminishing.
3. He considers himself a writer
I love how confident James is that he is a WRITER. He's not a self helper or encourager. He is a writer. I think I like it even more because that's not even my favorite thing he does. Sorry. I would define him as a great speaker.
