Kayak Adventure

Today I took a 2 hour kayak trip down a river near my house. It was a wonderful trip. I haven’t kayaked in over 10 years, so the experience was an challenging refresher.

1. I managed to get into the kayak without falling into the water

2. I was turned around and began floating down the river backwards. After a tense minute, I remembered how to right myself with my oar

3. We were accompanied by a murmuration of swallows for the first part of the trip

4. I ran into another kayaker who had run into a log. We pushed off and continued

5. We saw 3-4 herons: White, Grey and Black

6. I enjoyed the sunlight and breeze coming toward me

7. In between the roads we passed under, the quiet was very relaxing
