Knitting a Large Project? How to Keep Going To the End!
Staying focused on your knitting project when it is larger than a hat or a scarf can be difficult. Here are a few ways to keep it zesty.
1. Finds shows to marathon while you're knitting
Having something to focus on - can alleviate some of the tedium of a repetitive pattern
2. Put a bar of soap in your knitting bag to make your yarn smell good
Any little bit of encouragement to stay focused is helpful. If you're yarn starts to smell sweaty or funky, it can be discouraging.
3. Take breaks.
Set a pomodoro timer and take a break every 25 minutes -
4. Have a fall back project
Always have something on the back burner that can spice up the knitting. Then come back when you feel motivated again.
5. Take your knitting to others
Go a knitting gathering or knit with a KAL group. Some groups have online communities to post your progress. Lean into the feedback.
