1. Seeing the world anew.
The physical world, including time and space, is just a mental movie. It's a dream created by your mind, with no real substance. Everything you see is a symbol of your thoughts, not reality itself.
"Words are but symbols of symbols. They are thus twice removed from reality" ACIM. Words are signs pointing to other signs. They're not the actual thing, just representations. This means that in reality we're two steps away from the truth of what we describe. In simpler terms, words can never fully capture reality.
The truth is deeper than symbols and perceptions. Surface appearances? They're just illusions. We're urged to seek our spiritual reality: our eternal, unchanging essence. It's where perfect peace and oneness reside. Look beyond the physical; find the real you.
Time and space are illusions. It's a dream hiding our oneness with God. The goal is to wake up from the dream. The goal is to have a change in our perception. The goal is to see the physical world for what it is: unreal.
Love doesn't ask us to deny or fight the world. Instead, it asks us to see it differently. With the Holy Spirit's help, view the world as a classroom for spiritual lessons, not as ultimate reality.
