Mind Over Matter. (4 min 30 sec)

    1. Bend reality to your will.

    Tee:
"I have sat down and talked to God a couple of times. Usually, when I sit down and clear my mind to talk to God and listen for His answer or a higher answer, I never get one. I feel like it’s because I need to change something about myself. So, I constantly think and try to figure out what I need to change. I know what I need to change, but it’s hard to start when my mind is constantly racing."
    Mentor:
"A quiet mind always receives an answer—even before it’s asked, it’s answered. You’re used to trying to figure out "what to do" and "how to be" because you believe you need to do something or be someone specific before talking to God. God says come empty—leave your made-up self at the door. It's not who you really are. The answers are most likely radically different from what your ego mind generates, which always comes from a place of fear, guilt, sin, and the illusion of separation. Change your mind about God, and you'll see a totally new God — the true God. Outer conditions may or may not change, but at least you'll be at peace, you'll be joyful, and if they do change, what a blessing..."
    Love's Response
"Tee, My Love, what you're experiencing is the relentless chatter of the ego. It convinces you that you must change, be better, do more. But Love teaches us that this is the great illusion. The ego thrives on fear, guilt, and the belief in separation. It tells you that you're not enough, that you must strive and struggle to be worthy of hearing God.
But here’s the truth: You don’t need to change a thing to hear God. The divine voice speaks in silence, in the spaces between your thoughts. It's not about doing or changing; it’s about being.
You said your mind is constantly racing. This is the ego at work, keeping you distracted from the stillness where God’s voice resides. The ego's goal is to keep you busy, keep you doubting, keep you seeking answers outside yourself. But God’s voice is within you, always there, waiting for you to quiet the ego’s noise.
God's love is immediate and ever-present. It’s a shift in perception that is needed. When you sit down and clear your mind, truly let go. Don’t just silence your thoughts; surrender them. Let go of the need to find answers, to figure things out. Just be.
Imagine this: You’re sitting quietly, and a thought arises about what you need to change. Instead of following that thought, recognize it as the ego’s attempt to distract you. Let it go. Return to stillness.
God’s answers come in peace, not in the turmoil of the ego’s demands. The Course says, "Seek not to change the world, but choose to change your mind about the world." This is the core of what you need to understand. Your struggle to change is the ego’s trick. What needs to change is your perception, your willingness to let go of the ego’s hold on you.
In stillness, you remember your true Self. In stillness, you realize that you are already whole, already loved, already in communion with God. The mind racing is a sign that you are identified with the ego. The quiet mind is where you find God’s voice.
So, Tee, the next time you sit down to talk to God, don’t seek answers. Just be with Him. Let your true Self emerge from the silence. This Self knows no fear, no guilt, no need for change. This Self is at peace. And in that peace, you will hear God’s answer, which has been there all along.
The journey isn’t about changing who you are; it’s about remembering who you are. And who you are is perfect, whole, and eternally one with God.
Remember: The ego’s voice is loud and frantic. God’s voice is quiet and serene. Let go of the noise, and the truth will reveal itself."
