My Favorite Words

Got this idea from https://notepd.com/profile/randomroger. I had to run with it bc it sounded fun. Favorite words... let's go!

1. Gobstopper.

Fun to say, fun to eat!

2. Savagery

This one has a Shakespearean flavor to it.

3. Discombobulated

I like this word because it sounds like what it means.

4. Pax

Pax Romana, Pax Americana. Just a cool word.

5. Reconnaissance

Douchebag

6. Funny word that's also versatile. Never goes out of style. It's not quite a swear word so you can get away with using it both as a mild insult, a term of endearment, or referring to oneself as a disarming bit of self-depreciation.

7. Rationale

Useful word that represents a useful idea.

8. Particle

I use this word often to identify an indivisibly or irreducibly small element of something, eg., a particle of risk in every investment or a particle of contempt in his reply.

9. Recompense

I drop this word in place of just desserts or compensation. Just sounds cooler.
